After PRK, for a few days:

     if you were nearsighted, you will be slightly farsighted
     if you were farsighted, you will be slightly nearsighted
Your physician will check your visual recovery

After LASIK,your eye doctor will make sure the flap stays in place, and check your visual recovery.
